Our philosophy on precision
A utility calculator must deliver exact numbers every single time. Across the web, it is common to find tools with outdated formulas, obsolete tax brackets, or floating-point rounding errors that compound over calculations.
At Kipa Labs, we hold every micro-tool to the same standards expected in mission-critical corporate systems. Here is the process we follow before and after deploying any calculator.
1. Automated test suites
Before shipping any tool, we build automated regression suites covering everyday scenarios and boundary conditions alike:
- K-13 (Labor & Taxes): features 65 automated regression tests. They validate progressive social security (INSS), progressive income tax brackets (IRRF with both standard and simplified deductions), severance calculations, and termination rules directly against official government regulations and audited payslips.
- K-53 (Bitcoin Pocket Knife): the key generator and address validator execute an algorithmic self-test in the browser every time the page loads. Outputs are verified against official BIP39, BIP84, and BIP86 test vectors from Bitcoin Core. The page runs under strict CSP network isolation (
connect-src 'none'), ensuring zero sensitive data leaves the user device. - K-41 (Qual Vale Mais / Unit Price): uses dedicated decimal arithmetic for volume and weight conversions (grams, kilograms, milliliters, and liters). This avoids floating-point rounding drifts when comparing unit prices on grocery store shelves.
- K-00 (CalculAI): 327 mathematics and physics formulas were individually checked against standard secondary education and college entrance exam standards, ensuring accurate variable isolation and standard SI units.
2. Primary sources of truth
We do not rely on secondary summaries or unverified third-party blogs to feed our math:
- Taxes & Economic Indicators: official tables published by national revenue agencies, central banks, and official statistics institutes.
- Technical Protocols: official open standards documentation (Bitcoin BIPs, W3C specifications, and international technical standards).
- Continuous Maintenance: whenever an official rate or regulatory rule changes, the calculator engine is updated within the same release cycle, keeping the revision date clearly visible on the page.
3. Client-side execution and genuine privacy
Our math engine runs locally on your device, whether via JavaScript in your browser or within the native mobile app. Numbers entered into financial simulations, purchase comparisons, or cryptographic seeds never travel over the network and are never stored on Kipa Labs servers.
This architecture guarantees personal privacy by design and ensures most tools load instantly, even without an active internet connection.
